How do I get to the Puerto Vallarta airport?

Official cabs: official airport cabs are located outside the terminals. These cabs have fixed fares depending on the area you are going to.
Local cabs: These can be taken outside the airport. They are a more economical method of travel than the previous one.
Uber, DiDi, and inDriver offer a cheaper alternative to traditional cabs. You can request a ride from the app. Please note that to use these apps, you will have to cross the pedestrian bridge at the airport, as members of these apps are not allowed access to the airport.
Private transportation: Armony Luxury Resort & Spa offers airport transportation at an additional cost. To learn more about this service or to book it, please click here.
Buses: If your luggage is light, buses that pass near the airport and go to Punta de Mita may be an option. Ask at the airport for specific routes to your destination.
Car rental: Several car rental agencies are available at the airport, allowing you to drive to Punta de Mita. This is a good option if you plan to explore the area or nearby destinations.

Please note that, depending on the method of transportation you choose, the time it will take you to get to the hotel will vary between 30 and 60 minutes.

Roads to Punta de Mita

Guadalajara

Head northwest on Federal Highway 15D (Guadalajara - Tepic Highway).
Continue on Federal Highway 15D. This toll road goes in the direction of Tepic. This stretch of the highway is straight and in good condition.
Before arriving in Tepic, follow the signs to Federal Highway 200 towards Compostela and Puerto Vallarta.
Follow this road, passing through Compostela and Las Varas.
Follow the signs to Punta de Mita, located north of Banderas Bay, approximately 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.

Nayarit

If you are in Tepic, take federal highway 200 south.
Follow Highway 200 south, passing through Compostela and Las Varas. This road will take you towards the coast.
At the height of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, you will be close to Punta de Mita. From here, take a detour to the right (west) that will take you directly to Punta de Mita.
Follow the signs to Punta de Mita. The road will take you along Highway 200D and the Punta de Mita highway.

It is the hottest and most humid season in Punta de Mita. During the day, temperatures can reach 35°C (95°F). Nights remain warm, with temperatures around 25°C. It is also the rainy season, with frequent thunderstorms, especially during the afternoons and evenings. However, mornings are usually sunny.

During the summer, the heat intensifies, with temperatures that can exceed 33°C and high humidity, accompanied by frequent rains and afternoon thunderstorms. In autumn, temperatures remain warm, between 28°C and 32°C, but the frequency of rainfall decreases as the season progresses. Winter offers cooler and more pleasant temperatures, highs between 24°C and 29°C.
